October, 2007 Local organizations providing HIV-related programs directed toward minority communities are eligible to apply for services that will help enhance programs, build stronger infrastructure, and build for the future. All of this work will be funded by a special grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Minority Health awarded to Howard Brown Health Center and Executive Service Corps of Chicago (ESC). The purpose of this grant is to provide FREE technical assistance and capacity development (TA/CD) services to allow organizations like yours to build their capacity to provide effective HIV/AIDS services. Each participating agency’s individual project will be specifically tailored to their needs
If your
organization feels it could benefit by receiving some of these services, please
fill out the
self-assessment/ Applications are
now being accepted for the current grant year (now through summer 2008).
Applicants that appear likely to benefit will be notified and scheduled for a
no-obligation on-site assessment to discuss how the TA/CD project might best
address the issues or challenges your agency faces. Participating agencies will
be selected based on their ability to benefit from the funded services and the
