James Norman, Board Chair
Jim served as Vice President of Diversity and Community Involvement for Kraft Foods Group prior to his retirement in 2013. He is engaged as a Human Resources and Diversity Consultant for organizations seeking effective, innovative, and inclusive cultural change, leveraging his more than 30 years of experience with Kraft Foods. He began his career with Kraft in Operations Management and developed his management skills in Human Resources over the years, in and outside of Kraft Food's corporate headquarters in Northfield, IL. His previous positions include Director of Diversity for Kraft Foods North America, Senior Director of Human Resources for Kraft Foods Snacks & Cereal Business Unit, and Vice President of Diversity for Kraft Foods, Inc.
Jim has also served as President of the Employment Management Association Foundation and Vice President-at-Large for the Employment Management Association. He served on the Advisory Council for the American Institute for Managing Diversity (AMID) and on the Board of Trustees for Morris Tomorrow. Jim received his Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Northwestern University. He has completed ESC training in Advanced Consulting and Facilitating Small Workgroups.
As ESC Board Chair, Jim shares his deep management experience and human resources expertise to lead ESC as it continues on its path toward service and growth to make nonprofits successful.
