Featured Guest Speaker: TIM SAMUELSON

As the official "Cultural Historian" of the City of Chicago, Tim Samuelson is a world-renowned expert on Chicago's history, architecture and culture.

Beyond his vast expertise and official responsibilities as the keeper of much of Chicago's legacy, Tim is also one of the most gifted and entertaining chroniclers of our local history, the people and institutions who have shaped Chicago. His encyclopedic knowledge ranges from Chicago's pioneer days, the enduring impact of the Great Fire and the Columbian Exposition's glories, to our peerless architectural history, Chicago's role in the civil rights movement, and much more!

Tim Samuelson is a frequent guest on broadcast programs such as Chicago Public Radio's 'This American Life' and lecturer at cultural institutions across the country. He has contributed to countless journals and books on a wide variety of topics - and is the author of works including Unexpected Chicagoland, and But Wait! There's More!: The Irresistable Appeal and Spiel of Ronco and Popeii.
